Prairie Fest 2009!
June 21st Update:

Last night's Dirt Kick'n Wicked Good bull-riding had a full crowd. It was a great show. Ozzy & Firehouse played in the Expo arena

Today the softball & Little League tournaments continue. With a parade at 1pm, more time at the Midway, and a paintball tournament in the grandstand...there is still many things to do!

Winning button numbers are #218 - $500, #8 - $250 and #476 - $100! You can collect your winnings at the Long Prairie Chamber office. You will have one week to claim your prize.

June 20th Update:

Last night's Motokazie event went over well. Hairball played to a capacity crowd and a good time was had by all! There were many people visiting the exhibitors and riding the thrilling rides.

Tonight brings the Dirt Kick'n Wicked Good bull-riding event at 6pm in the grandstand, followed by Aultimate Ozzy & Firehouse in the Expo arena at 9pm.

There are plenty of thrilling midway rides to go on and many food court vendors as well.

The Prairie Fest buttons are almost sold out - get yours while you can. You could win $500 - $250 or $100!

June 19th Update:

Wow! Even though the weather tried to dampen the night,
the SPECTACTULAR fireworks wowed the crowd.

Hilery & 57 Chevy kept the crowds going, along with the Midway, expo vendors and food vendors.

TONIGHT!
Indoor exhibitors & food vendors open at 11am. Midway opens at Noon. Twins baseball clinic begins at 2pm. Beer garden opens at 4pm.

Tonight in the grandstand is MOTOKAZIE Supercross Series at 6pm. HAIRBALL is in the expo arena starting at 9pm.
June 18th Update:

Congratulations to Queen Heather,
Princess Gina, and Princess Dani.

Midway starts at 4pm today. Don't forget to check out the food vendors and exhibitors down by the expo center. Hilery begins at 5pm followed by 57 Chevy at 9pm. Don't miss the spectacular FIREWORKS display at dusk.

June 17th Update:

Miss Prairie Fest Pageant is tonight at 7pm in the High School Auditorium.

Today is the last day to buy your advance sale Midway tickets. Get yours today! There are 15 great rides already on the grounds! There will be buttons, tickets and Pageant wristbands also on sale at the Pageant.

June 13th Update:

Paintball information is up!

The crew is working hard at putting on the final touches. If you would like to volunteer - please see the volunteer tab. Fundraising is still going on - check out our sponsor tab, or the Invest in Prairie Fest tab. We are selling buttons and you could WIN $500 - $250 or $100. The pageant contestants will be selling wristbands as a fundraiser for their scholarships. Their information should be posted shortly.

Local motorcycle & 4 wheeler riders. You do not have to be a professional rider to race in our Friday night event. See the information on the Grandstand tab!

May Update:

Get ready, Set, Go!

May is proving to be a busy month - lot's of planning goes into putting on a event of this caliber. Everyone is busy working behind the scenes and we are making a few changes and adding a new event! Watch this section for further details.

April Update:

Prairie Fest is a Long Prairie Community area four day celebration - brought to you by the Long Prairie Community group, civic groups, volunteers and our generous sponsors. 

Our first year was great - while the weather did not want to totally co-operate we were able to hold all of our events.  Thanks to all who sponsored and attended our events.

We will again have Goldstar Amusements with their thrilling rides.   Back will also be the food and merchandise exhibitors.

We will kick off the week with a Pageant on Wednesday night.

Thursday night we will have spectactular Fireworks.
We will have bands in the Expo Arena - as well as shows in the grandstand.

In the Expo Arena - we have the return of Hairball on Friday night and Satuday night we will have national act FIREHOUSE.

In the grandstand - New this year will be Motokazie, motorcycle racing on Friday night. Saturday will be the return of Extreme bull-riding.

We will also be having a two day Little League Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.   Entry sheets can be found on the the Forms page.

Sunday the parade will begin at 1pm- the route will be from the Middle School - down main street and to the High School.
