Long Prairie Community Group

We are a group of local community members that want to celebrate our city of Long Prairie and it's community of people. We strive to lessen the burden on local government, prevent deterioration of the community, and promote social progress by encouraging civic participation. We plan on doing this by holding a annual festival (Prairie Fest), celebrating the community and people. At the same time this festival will help raise money to offer college scholarships to the pageant participants and, in the future, other college scholarships to local students to further their education.

Prairie Fest

Prairie Fest is an event held on Father's Day weekend in Long Prairie. The event includes a midway, grandstand events, live music events, as well as other events for the whole family. We could not put on this great event without the help of our sponsors and local volunteers.

College Scholarships

• The Miss Prairie Fest pageant has been our first place to bestow college scholarships to the local Jr's and Sr's.
• More college scholarships to come.
